Hydrangea is an Asian-owned roaster out of Berkeley, CA. Started by coffee enthusiast and comp sci grad Bill Li, Hydrangea has blossomed into one of the leading modern roasters, with an emphasis on light, fruit-forward coffees.

Caturra is a natural mutation of the Bourbon, first discovered in Brazil. This example exhibits malic and citric acidity, like apple and mandarin, with a light and juicy texture.

This coffee was processed at origin as fully washed, meaning the fruit was washed from the seed prior to drying. This presents a refined sweetness and fruity acid structure.

Fewer origins are as revered as the regions surrounding Volcán Barú in Chiriquí, Panama. Finca Deborah is situated in Volcán, off the Western slopes of the volcano. The unique acidic soil and high elevation (1800 masl for this coffee) combine to create a unique microclimate where this Caturra was grown.
